Throughout November
Theatre Jacksonville continues to bring the second part of their Reading Rediness program, a workshop at the school, to Pre-K, K, and 1st grade students at S.P. Livingston, Long Branch, Anderw Robinson, and George Washington Carver. MOCA continues their Voice of the People program with S.P. Livingston 4th through a series of on-site visits from museum educators taking place every Wednesday morning.
October 29th
The 4th grade students at S.P. Livingston Elementary will be touring the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Downtown Jacksonville today. This first visit to the museum kicks off the Voice of the People grant awarded to MOCA this fall. Throughout the year, students will visit the museum to view the collection and create art and take part in art activities at the school with museum educators. These activities will culminate with students recording their perspectives on the art they have viewed at the museum. Their voices and opinions will then be added as part of a self-guided audio tour that will be available to visitors of the museum in 2009.
